Hey there! Guess what? My husband and I decided to go on a fun trip to Singapore for Chinese New Year. Since our kids moved out, we thought it would be cool to do something just for us.
We’ve been to Singapore before and loved it. The idea of exploring the city during such a festive time got us excited. So, we booked our tickets and off we went!
It felt kind of strange without the kids around, but also really freeing.
Our Empty Nest Adventure: Trip To Singapore
With my daughter off pursuing her studies in Glasgow and our son already working we found ourselves longing for a new experience to fill our days.
We’ve always cherished our memories of Singapore from previous visits.
We did things a bit differently this time.
Instead of rushing around trying to see everything, we decided to take it slow. It was so nice to just go at our own pace and enjoy each moment.
We strolled through the streets, stopping whenever something caught our eye. We didn’t have a strict itinerary, which felt really fun.
You won’t believe what we saw during the Chinese New Year celebration at the Marina Bay Sands Promenade!
There was this incredible drone show that lit up the night sky with thousands of drone twinkling lights. It was like something out of a sci-fi movie, but even better because it was real.
The drones formed intricate patterns and shapes, dancing in perfect harmony.
And guess what? At one point, they even formed a majestic dragon in the sky, shimmering and twisting gracefully. It was such a magical experience, one that we’ll never forget.
